Ice Rain
Honestly, I have no excuse not to write today. We are iced-in, me and GeoBoy, and he's happily rampaging in his room, so I have a little time here.
But boy do we have nasty weather! G walked into work today even though it is closed. Geo's pre-school was closed, too, which is unfortunate for me in one sense, and yet I feel some mom-and-Boy waffles are going to get made together this afternoon, too, which is a great thing.
As I ever-so-briefly mentioned in my last post, I am indeed pregnant with our second child. I have no news yet in terms of boy/girl, etc., so hold your pants on. I am due in August. We are all very happy and excited.
And yet I feel like throwing up much of the time, which certainly puts a damper on my life for the moment. Although this is temporary, it still sucks.
I also fell down my front stairs and broke my tail-bone three weeks ago. This has proven to make my life that much more complicated, especially with everything being crazy icy again.
There is a part of me that is super-tired of winter and being stuck inside the house with various "conditions", and there is a part of me that is perfectly happy to sit at home and veg for a month. I think this is as close to hibernation as I will ever come. I am a bit "bear-like" these days, one could certainly say.
So what's up, Peeps?

I want to hear some more terrible weather stories! Doesn't the ice inspire you?
Woah. Broken tail bone sounds like the worst thing ever. Especially coupled with the daily barfs. It's been ridiculously cold here, too. But of course, that just means I'm huddled by my space heater in my office and no one wants to work with me in here because it's too cold. Boo. Poor me. Okay time to get back to writing. This has been a long long long slow slow slow day. I hope your waffles were FANTASTIC! That sounds so freakin' good right now. I should get some fruit and pancake mix at the store. Mmm.
I hope your tail bone's okay now... that sucks especially with the morning sickness...you never know when it's gonna happen! It comes out of nowhere and hits you! Is Geo excited for a baby sister or brother...or does he not know yet? Congrats again!
@michi125 - At first Geo was confused and told people that HE had a baby in his tummy. Now he tells people that I have a baby in MY tummy, which is more sensical. I also told him that he could have one of the chairs (his favorite) from our bedroom to put in his room (in exchange for the rocker that is in his room currently) when the baby comes. He asks about every day if he can have the chair yet..... I'm not sure what he really understands. Hard to say, he's only 3.
The ice storm just missed us. Phew.
